Our Story

In the fall of 1977 the Northside Christian Fellowship (NCF) began as a Sunday School in a rural two-room brick school house north of Sandpoint, Idaho, with 27 attending. In 1986, we started building our new church and everyone (men, women, and children) pitched in to help build our two-story facility located on Colburn-Culver Road. The building has a large meeting room on the second floor, with classrooms and library on the first floor. Attendance at NCF varies from 100 to 125 people. Sunday mornings begin with Sunday School classes for all ages that meet from 9:15am until 10:30am.

Our main service commences at 10:45am and continues until about noon. During the main service, everyone participates in the singing and the prayer & praise time. Then, before the morning’s message begins, children ages 3-5 are excused to Kids Church, while ages 6-11 may attend Junior Church. There is a nursery provided for children younger than 3 years old, during both the Sunday School hour and the main service.

Our church body extends a warm welcome to new-comers — whether our guests are here visiting on vacation, or are looking for a permanent church home. We encourage you to attend in whatever attire you are comfortable. Suits and ties are as welcome as jeans and t-shirts. We sing a variety of music — from traditional hymns to the contemporary praises. Our music team and song leaders blesses us with their God-given talents.

NCF Leaders

Kyle Mangum

Senior Pastor & Gospel Kidz Ministry Director

Born and raised in Sandpoint, Kyle was brought to NCF as an infant and grew up in the church. In response to God’s gracious, miraculous work and by faith in Jesus Christ, he was born again as a young boy. God desires us to not only know Him but to love Him with our whole being. Through the convicting work of the Holy Spirit, he surrendered his life to the Lord in 2003. He began serving in the church as a youth leader. Later he joined the church leadership team in 2012—first as a deacon and then as an elder. He became senior pastor at NCF in July 2019.

Kyle and his wife, Des, have been joyfully married since 2005, and have three outgoing children. They enjoy teamwork on a farm, and when haying is finished, they spend time together reaching mountain tops on hiking and backpacking adventures.

Together Kyle and his wife serve as directors for our NCF Gospel Kidz ministry, which focuses on the Gospel of Christ and on mentoring children through God’s Word to know, love, and serve Him! In addition to directing Gospel Kidz, Kyle is passionate about discipleship through preaching, teaching, counseling, serving, and living life together as a church family.

Keith Goullette

Keith Goullette

Associate Pastor

A native to North Idaho, Keith has been at NCF since participating in its founding in June, 1977. He and his wife, Cora “Corky”, had been serving as missionaries to start a Vacation Bible School in the Northside area. That quickly blossomed into the founding of NCF by interested and intent people in this area. He went on to attend Bible school at Montana Institute of the Bible in Lewistown, MT, and then joined NCF leadership in January, 1979. His main areas of ministry have included preaching, teaching, discipling, counseling, and visiting. He has served 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in response to God’s calling on his life. He retired from full-time pastoring in July 2019.

Pastor Keith salvation story goes back to November, 1972, when both he and his wife were saved - he by way of a Gospel tract and she through a pastor’s leading. He has been married to his wife, Corky, for 50 years! Together they have 4 children, 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Mark Prevost

Mark Prevost

Associate Pastor

Mark Prevost and his wife, Diane, began attending NCF in December, 2010, in a search for an established Fellowship of believers. Mark, a retiree, joined NCF leadership in 2013, serving on the Missions committee and assisting in other areas as needs arise. He and Diane have been married 38 years, have 3 children & 7 grandchildren. He was saved on an occasion while listening to J. Vernon McGee on the radio. His Bible favs are the book of Proverbs and Romans 6.
