NEXT SERMON: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT? – LUKE 9:18-27
And it happened that while He was praying alone, the disciples were with Him, and He questioned them, saying, “Who do the people say that I am?” They answered and said, “John the Baptist, and others say Elijah; but others, that one of the prophets of old has risen again.” And He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered and said, “The Christ of God.” But He warned them and instructed them not to tell this to anyone, saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised up on the third day.”
And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. But I say to you truthfully, there are some of those standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”
A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM PASTOR KYLE & THE NCF LEADERS
We are resuming services!
Dear Church Family,
This has been a very long month and a half as we’ve not been able to meet together on Sunday mornings. However, we’re excited to announce that we are now able to start back up again! Please read the details below carefully so as to not miss anything:
Change of Service and Time: For the first couple of weeks there will be no Sunday school, only main service. In addition to this, we will start main service at 10:30 rather than 10:45. This is in order to allow more time for main service as it will be the only service for the day.
Physical Distancing: During this time of the pandemic, we all need to do our best to maintain physical distancing so as to reduce the possible spread of this virus. In order to help with this, we are spacing the rows of chairs out to 6 feet and asking that families sit together in groups with at least six feet of distance to the next family group. Also, even though it’ll be hard to resist the urge, we ask that we not shake hands or hug (other than your immediate family, of course) during this time. However, please don’t let this stop you from hanging around after service to fellowship with one another. We are still a church family and are meant to fellowship.
Children: Due to the difficulty of restraining the kids from close contact with each other, we ask that parents keep their kids with them while at church—including before and after service. With that, there will be no junior church, kids church, or nursery. Kids will need to sit with their parents during the whole service. If anyone needs to use the nursery for any reason, please do so, but know that there will be no nursery workers during this time.
Live Streaming: For those of you who may be vulnerable to this virus and believe you should not come to church, we’re working on a setup to be able to live stream the entire service. Until this is worked out, please consider listening to the message on our website later in the week. Either way, we’ll be sending out further details on this later this week.
Mid-Week Bible Studies: Mid-week Bible studies can resume as long as physical distancing is maintained.
As strange and awkward as all of this will seem, it will only be for a time, and soon we’ll all be able to go back to normal. In the meantime, we ask that everyone please do their part to help.
To God be the glory,
The entire leadership of NCF

BABY BOTTLE BOOMERANG
This year’s fundraiser for Life Choices Pregnancy Center, Baby Bottle Boomerang, is being held online. Typically, we fill baby bottles with change or cash or a check, then return them to the church. The fundraiser usually runs from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day. With the unique circumstances surrounding us this year, things are kicking off a bit early in order to allow everyone to take part.
Life Choices provides compassionate support and education to help people address an unplanned pregnancy, past abortion, relationship and family life challenges, parenting questions, and life skills needs. All of services are free and confidential. They do not provide or refer for abortion.
