Scripture Text: I John 3:18

II. Walk - v. 18b
Scripture Readings
I JOHN 3:7
Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
I JOHN 4:7, 11-12, 18-19
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us.
I JOHN 5:1-3
Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.
JAMES 1:22
But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.
SCRIPTURE TEXT
1 JOHN 3:18
Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
NOTES: Read all of I John (especially in parallel Bible with special attention to the Living Bible). Also read II Corinthians 5:14-15 - the love of Christ *controls* us...live according to the Truth. Agape love is selfless, sacrificial, loving others above self.
