Speaker: Pastor Keith Goullette
Theme: Church Life
Scripture Text: II Corinthians 5:10-13 (next week: II Corinthians 5:14-17)
I. Recompensed - v. 10
II. Reasons - v. 11-13
And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead.
On the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.
With good will render service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether slave or free.
I JOHN 2:28
Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.
SCRIPTURE TEXT—II CORINTHIANS 5:10-13
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences. We are not again commending ourselves to you but are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, so that you will have an answer for those who take pride in appearance and not in heart. For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.
